Have a wonderful spring break ! In math, we are focusing on multiplication and division.  If your child is having difficulty with their facts up to 10 x 10 please practice with them at home.  There is a big jump from the end of grade 3 to grade 4 and knowing their facts is important. In social studies we designed our own machine that uses renewable energry to complete a job.  Ask your child what they created and what renewable energy they used. In science we contiued to learn about simple machines. In grammar, we did a unit review on what we learned so far.  We also focused on writing and using descriptive words. Thank you to everyone who came to parent teacher conferences.  It is always nice to meet in person and discuss your child. Happy Friday the 13th! Science: Please send in recycleable items to use for building our simple machines for our leprechaun traps. We will be building them on Monday so all materials need to be at school.  I wonder if we will catch any? We continue to learn about renewable resources and how they are used. In math, we are going to be focusing on multiplication and division.  The kids should be able to do 3 digit addition and subtraction with regrouping.  Try a little check in with your child and see if they are able to regroup.  Also, practice your multiplication facts up to 10 x 10.   During Parent-Teacher Conferences on   Thursday, March 19   and   Friday, March 20 , we invite families to place a colourful push pin on our world map located in our Learning Commons to show where their family comes from. Together, we’ll create a vibrant picture celebrating the diverse backgrounds that make up our school community! Upcoming Dates March 16-20...
